Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy governs your use of the software application BP Journal (“App”) for mobile devices that was created by Jason O. The App allows you to log blood pressure readings taken from a blood pressure monitor device in order to generate health analytics information to be shared with your physician or professional healthcare provider.

Information obtained

The information obtained by the App includes:

• Personal information (name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
• Default report recipient contact information (name and email address)
• Health-related data (blood pressure readings, etc.)

All above information is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to the App publisher.

You may choose to not disclose some of the information above but at the expense of reduced application functionality.

Third-party advertising networks like AdMob may collect non-personally identifiable information through their embedding technology when serving targetted ads through the ad-supported version of the App.

How information obtained is used

The app will use the obtained information in the following ways:

• Local data persistence for future recall
• Generation of charts and statistical reports
• Data export and import
• Cloud backup and restore

When using cloud backup facility of the App, a copy of your local data will be stored in a special app folder in your Google Drive account upon one-time authorization. The app does not have access to other personal files on your Google Drive account. Content stored in the app folder is hidden and only used for restore purposes by the App. You may opt out of cloud backup and remove the remote data instance at any time.

The App will never share any of the above information to external parties without your consent or explicit action.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide the necessary notification in the App. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history of this policy at the end of this page.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.
